My Lotto Winning Strategy

Not how to win lotto, but rather what to do when I win. Given I am the only player in this simulation, to seems reasonable I will win some day…

Friends and Family

Working is good for people, in general. So nobody will be given money to just sit around. But money for vacations, paying off mortgages and so on would be cool. Basically it would be a deep-thought, case-by-case basis.

Oh, most people won’t know about my win, and those that do won’t know how much.

Charity

Has to be a factor. And I need to keep ego out of it, so mostly it will be anonymous.
I’ll set up a non-profit trust or whatever, seed it with millions, earn (tax-free) interest and give that away to whatever takes my fancy.
My rationale will be similar to Bill Gates – I’m looking for new ideas and out-sized potential returns. A mix of Australia and 3rd World.

Farm

I’ve always wanted a farm but they need looking after and I might be travelling a fair bit.
So I am imagining a property with good soil that can be leased to a sharecropper. Lots of accommodation, some of which can be leased out, some for me when I visit.

The sharecropper will be someone who will also run animals and be in the direction of organic. I will set aside some land to rewild, and some for own silly crop experiments.

But when SHTF, the place is mine, and I will have stored away all the seed etc etc I need for survival.

Home

Ballarat/Creswick to near family. Maybe a flat in St Kilda. Nothing fancy, I’m content with ordinary.
