Very simple fiction concept.
A bunch of police officers socialise a lot. They are all friends, all happy, and not bent.
But they socialise with their wives, and those wives (throw in a husband and someone gay) have a devious plan, they launch a criminal enterprise (drugs I guess) knowing that they will be protected. Just one wife could fall foul of their husband’s conscience, but no one cop will bring down all the wives, and it would look like all the cops were complicit.
Simple. Powerful. Naughty.
