One of my many, many movie premises.
There have been plenty of movies/tv about a apocalyptic survival in a bunker. We are possibly at the peak of that lately.
But this is pre-apocalypse, and a new kind of genre even. Upper-middle-class human trafficking.
So, there’s a retired nuclear missile silo in the middle of nowhere USA, and it has been converted into a survival bunker. People buy their space and then when the dreaded day comes, they have somewhere safe to be, with lots of supplies and so on.
Turns out the Latino drug lords who set this up as a money laundering operation, could get people to sign up. They were spending the drug money but not getting anything back.
One prospective customer, however, is a whale. And he is connected, so getting him on board could solve all of their problems. This whale is a creep. A very rich creep. He is certain that the end is coming soon and that the few survivors will re-populate the planet. And he is short on breeding stock.
Our whale is a stalker in his leisure time and he has his eye on a very special woman, of a certain age, build, attractiveness, fertility and fanciness. If her husband was richer she could be a kidnap target.
The deal gets made. The woman is stolen and installed in the bunker, where she will stay, imprisoned, and only visited by the whale. He looks after her, and once she is resigned to her situation, the sex is not forced.
[this part needs a nefarious angle] the whale has acquaintances, or the drug lords find out a way of finding such creeps. Either way, they get more on board with the same deal. Gangsters steal the woman, creeps get the woman, the woman is trapped, and ultimately she will be breeding stock – the creeps think.
Each woman is isolated and does not know about the others. We see each of their attempts to escape.
For some minor reason, local authorities come to check on the silo bunker. Not cops. They inspect the place. Head honcho bad guy points out that the lower levels have been “sealed off” because they are flooded. Which is normal for such places. Except that is where the women are, and ten feet of concrete blocks their yelling.
Then we have the usual thriller tropes. Nerd spots something odd, like too many visitors for a last-resort place. A cop on a lost person case tracked a mobile phone to nearby. A local barmaid almost gets kidnapped – gets away – and learns something.
Being the middle of nowhere, the three protagonists cannot help but bump into each other – same motel or whatever.
They decide to rescue the woman – thinking there is only one. Add being all amateurs, they invite the FBI along. But he/she doesn’t arrive (make up some common excuse, got lost, car broke down…) so they go in alone and all get slaughtered.
The bad guys are panicking and shipping out.
The FBI guy/gal turns up expecting it to be a 1 woman case with 3 people to help him.
He/she has a massive shootout in and around the bunker, kills dozens of bad guys, and frees the women.
