Births happen due their own accord (mostly). As do deaths (mostly). But the other life events, the timing is chosen, to some degree. Christening, marriage, funeral.
Mass weddings are a minor thing. The Moonies have had thousands married at once…
At the end of your life, hopefully, you have felt more of a one-ness with all people, than in your earlier years.
So maybe your farewell could be shared?
What if all people who died in the same week, same region, had a joint funeral?
It promotes celebration of that life, because it is being presented to people who did not know them.
It means people going through similar grief (not the same grief) and bond and share.
It is economical!
And it is an equalizer. In death we are all the same, and what a great excuse for different parts of society to get together.
What if different religions participated!
